Testing that answers the question: why is this window failing?

Every service below follows a recognized ASTM or AAMA protocol, fully documented with photos, data, and a written report you can act on — or put into evidence.

01 · Field Testing

Field Performance Testing

On-site air- and water-infiltration testing of installed windows, doors, storefront, and curtain wall.

Whether you're verifying new construction before closing out a punch list or investigating a reported leak, field testing measures how the installed assembly actually performs — not how it performed in the lab before shipping.

  • ASTM E1105 — water penetration of installed exterior windows, curtain walls, and doors by uniform or cyclic static air pressure
  • ASTM E783 — field air-leakage measurement of installed windows and doors
  • AAMA 502 / 503 — voluntary field-test specifications for newly installed fenestration and storefront/curtain wall
  • Test-chamber setup, calibrated spray rack, pressure instrumentation, full photo log
02 · Forensics

Forensic Water-Intrusion Investigation

Systematic diagnosis when a building already leaks and nobody agrees on why.

Following the AAMA 511 forensic protocol, the investigation isolates the failure path step by step — recreating the leak under controlled conditions, then narrowing it to product, installation, or the surrounding wall design. The deliverable is a defensible causation finding, not a guess.

  • Leak-history review and water-path hypothesis
  • Isolation testing (masking/sequential spray) to separate window, perimeter, and wall sources
  • Installation and flashing/integration review against manufacturer instructions and industry standards
  • Selective disassembly coordination where destructive investigation is warranted
03 · Litigation

Expert Witness & Litigation Support

Testing, analysis, reports, and testimony for construction-defect matters.

From pre-suit evaluation to trial testimony — details on the Expert Witness page.

  • Case merit screening and standards-applicability opinions
  • Protocol design and testing observation (including opposing-expert test oversight)
  • Expert reports, declarations, deposition and trial testimony
04 · Consulting

Product & Specification Consulting

Standards guidance for manufacturers, architects, and contractors.

Years inside an accredited test lab means knowing exactly what a product will face at certification — and what a specification actually requires in the field.

  • NAFS (AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440) performance-grade selection and interpretation
  • Pre-certification product review: identify likely failure points before paying for lab time
  • Specification review for architects and envelope consultants
  • Installer training on water-management details and manufacturer instructions [confirm offering]
